Capturing the Essence of Summer Weddings


Welcome to summer, the season of sun-kissed love stories and vibrant celebrations! As the days have been stretching longer, we have been busy!

At Camera & Co, we believe that every wedding is a beautiful narrative waiting to be told, and we are here to tell it! Summer offers the perfect backdrop to capture those unforgettable moments.


Imagine exchanging vows beneath a stunning blue sky, surrounded by blooming flowers and the laughter of loved ones. From small or big smiles to breathtaking sunsets, summer weddings provide endless opportunities for stunning photography that tells your unique love story.


OK, so if you know us (or me, Vel), you will know I’m not a fan of the heat… I’m all about Autumn, BUT I’ve been falling more in love with the sun; golden hour sunsets at weddings are amazing, and the photos are breathtaking to take and deliver.

The end of May started off our summer wedding season, there was still a hint of spring in the air, the day was perfect in every way, so green and fresh! So of course we can’t write this blog without saying a massive congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Tay! Their wedding was amazing, fun, and natural to capture. And yes, we live in Wales, so it’s not all sunshine and clear skies… we loved that the rain didn't stop anyone from having a great time!


We love a church wedding, there's just something so special about a couple coming together and declaring their love with raw emotion in a building that has history in its walls. One of my favourite parts of a wedding to capture, regardless of the venue is when the newly married couple walk out of the ceremony together, there's always so much happiness and excitement in the air around them.

It’s a busy time of year to be a wedding photographer! We don’t have many ‘firsts’ these days as photographers, as we are fairly experienced in our field. We recently had the honour of capturing Sundeep & Saphiya's wedding, and wow, it was amazing. The colours, joy, and the food were so great to photograph. This was our first Nepalese wedding, so there were some cultural differences. However, the premise still stood-it was a day of celebrating love and happiness.


We really loved the enthusiasm of all the guests, it was incredible to be a part of such a special event. Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Rana. Your wedding will forever hold a special place in Camera & Co's heart. Editing these images was such a visual treat.

Another first for us this summer was shooting at Penpont. The venue was stunning, and the weather matched the vibe for sure!


The grounds of the venue are truly amazing, but what we loved most about this wedding was capturing the powerful friendships, the looks of love, the humour, the embracing, and it really did feel like one big family. We are sure everyone involved will forever hold such great memories from this beautiful wedding.

So congratulations to Donna & Andrew! Thank you so much for hiring us and having us as part of your day and introducing us to the venue! We had a blast! Your wedding reception outside was a great way to spend the warm summer evening.

We were then back in one of our favourite venues, Peter Stone Court, for another stunning wedding. It was an amazing, long-awaited day that we were honoured to be a part of, with both brides looking incredible and so deserving of all the happiness and love. It was so fun to capture your wedding, in particular your 'first look' it was so lovely to see both your expressions as you looked into each others eyes knowing that you were finally about to become wives.


Such a great day, and it was another hot one! So of course we couldn't resist a photo of the brides dipping their feet in the outside pool, it looked like good way to cool off. We were almost tempted to join!

Then, we had a HOT one, as in the hottest day of the year. However, it was an absolute pleasure to capture the wedding of Tom & Chele. The weather was fantastic, and the view was stunning; the mountains as a backdrop were such a scenic treat! Your guests definitely made great use of the backdrop with photos and selfies.


We really did have a brilliant day and can’t thank the couple enough for trusting us to photograph their special day. Your story is an incredibly special one, and we hope you look at these photos with pride. We laughed, we sweated (it was sooooooo hot!), and Zoe had a good dance…
